Subo un nuevo post para mostraros mi nuevo libro, en el que
soy autora completa, lo he escrito e ilustrado. Lo edita Editions Limonade
(Suiza). De momento sólo está disponible en francés.
I upload a new post to show you my new book, in which I am a complete
author, I have written and illustrated. It is edited by Editions Limonade
(Switzerland). At the moment it is only available in French.
CREACIÓN DE PERSONAJES.
CREATION OF CHARACTERS.
El personaje principal, Potó el pequeño dragón, lo creé hace
al menos 3 años, me inspiré en una librería madrileña llamada "El dragón
lector", se hizo una exposición preciosa de muchos dragones por sus 10
años de inauguración. Gustó tanto este pequeño dragón que necesitaba darle
vida, que tuviera una historia. Así que aquí va una de sus historias y es la
Navidad, para que los más pequeños disfruten en un momento del año tan
maravilloso con el pequeño dragón Potó.
El nombre se lo puso mi hijo que por aquel entonces tenía un
año y medio, y así se quedó con Potó.
Aquí pongo la primera ilustración que hice de nuestro
pequeño amigo violeta.
The main character, Poto the little dragon, I created it at least 3
years ago, I was inspired by a bookshop in Madrid (Spain) called "El dragón lector",
it became a beautiful exhibition of many dragons for its 10 years of
inauguration. People like this little dragon so much that I needed to give it
life, to have a story. So here is one of his stories and it's Christmas, so
that the little ones can enjoy at such a wonderful time of the year with the
little dragon Poto.
The name was given by my son who was then one year old.
Here I put the first illustration I made of our little violet friend.
STORYBOARD.
Siempre hago un
"storyboard" del libro completo para tener una visión global de cómo
quedará. Es una herramienta que nos viene muy bien a la editora y a mí. En este
caso he conseguido trabajar de forma muy ordenada, a pesar de ser mi propio
libro, ya que es mucho más cómodo en realidad.
I always do a complete
"storyboard" of the book in order to get a global vision of how it
will look like at the end. It is a big and helpful tool the editor and myself. In
this case I have managed to work in a very orderly manner, despite of being my
own book, since it is much more comfortable.

mixta de acuarela y lápiz de color.
These are some of the sketches
together with the finished illustration. The technique I've used is a mixed
technique of watercolor and colored pencil.
