FERIA DEL LIBRO DE BOADILLA DEL MONTE 2018.

Este fin de semana, sábado 19 y domingo 20 de Mayo, he tenido el gran placer de participar en la VII Feria del libro de Boadilla del Monte, en un emplazamiento maravilloso, los jardines del Palacio del Infante Don Luis.

Por primera vez se celebró también BOA COMIC, festival internacional de comic de Boadilla del Monte, con un gran éxito.

En definitiva, ha sido un gran fin de semana muy enriquecedor, lleno de visitas de amigos y también de gente que tenía ganas de tener un libro "diferente", muchos fuimos los autores noveles que firmamos nuestros libros y también hubo caras ya conocidas. Tengo que dar la enhorabuena al Ayuntamiento de Boadilla del Monte por la maravillosa organización del evento, no tengo la menor duda de que cada año será más importante la feria del libro de Boadilla.

Dibujando con los niños. Vuelta al cole. Drawing with children. Back to school.

Esta entrada de hoy la dedico a un día muy especial. La semana pasada estuve con los niños de 5 años del colegio donde va mi hijo mayor, Rubén. Estuvimos leyendo mi libro "Martin y las estrellas", y mientras la profe de Rubén lo leía y les hacía preguntas, yo dibujaba a los personajes protagonistas. Me lo pasé en grande, y me encantó ver como les gustó la experiencia de verme pintar para ellos. Iban adivinando lo que veían y se emocionaban.

I dedicate this entry to a very special day. Last week I was with the children of 5 years of the school where my son Rubén goes. We were reading my book "Martin y las estrellas", ("Martin and the stars"), while Rubén's teacher read it and asked questions, I drew the main characters. I had a great time, and I loved feeling how they liked the experience of seeing me paint for them. They were guessing what they saw and were excited.

Los niños también tuvieron la oportunidad de colorear sus propios personajes de "Martin y las estrellas" y mostrarlos en los pasillos de sus aulas, para que todo el mundo pueda ver lo artistas que están hechos.

The children also had the opportunity to color their own characters of "Martin y las estrellas", ("Martin and the stars") and show them in the corridors of their classrooms, so that everyone can see what artists are made.

El dibujo está hecho con tiza de colores sobre papel.

The drawing is made with colored chalk on paper.

"Martin y las estrellas" en Fnac

Ayer dando un paseo por Fnac Madrid me encontré con mi libro "Martin y las estrellas", me sentí muy feliz al verlo y aproveché para hacerle estas fotos. Así que ya sabéis, podéis encontrarlo físicamente en Fnac. Estoy a la espera de poder colgar el listado de librerías y comercios donde también podréis comprarlo, es una historia muy tierna para leer antes de dormir y un buen regalo para Navidad ;) . Yesterday I was at Fnac (famous bookstore in Spain) and suddenly I found my book "Martin y las estrellas", I felt very happy to see it and I took the chance to take some pictures of it. I'm awaiting to recived the complete list of bookstores where the book is on sale. "Martin y las estrellas". Proceso creativo. Creative process of the book "Martin y las estrellas".

Me gustaría mostraros en este post, el proceso creativo de mi primer álbum ilustrado, en el que soy autora completa, lo he escrito e ilustrado. Tengo un especial cariño a este búho llamado Martin. Esta editado por la editorial Babidi-bú.

Este cuento pretende transmitir a los más pequeños que para conseguir algo que les
ilusione de verdad, es muy importante esforzarse y tener fe en uno mismo, como nuestro
protagonista, Martín, al que no le frena ser un pequeño búho. Y así, finalmente, conseguir
aquello que desea por encima de todo.

In this post, I would like to show you the creative process of my first Illustrated album, where I am the autor, writer and illustrator. I have a very special feeling for this Owl called Martin. It is edited by the publishing house Babibi-bú.

This story is intended to transmit to the little ones that in order to get something that really excites them, is very important to try hard and have faith in oneself, as our main character does, Martin, eventhough he is a little owl. Therefore, at the end, to get something you desire above everything.

CREATIVE PROCESS

Mi proceso creativo para este libro ha sido un poco diferente, ya que lo primero que he hecho es escribir el texto, en la mayoría de libros me dan el texto y desde ahí voy pensando cada ilustración, pero en este caso se hace más caótico, ya que a la vez que pienso el texto, se me van ocurriendo ilustraciones, lo voy viendo ya como un cuento en mi cabeza, así que garabateo cosas, apunto frases...de hecho, para este libro no tengo un storyboard, como suelo hacer en casi todos, para llevar un orden.

Subo algunas fotos de ilustraciones originales. Para la edición definitiva alguna de ellas ha sido descartada o cambiada por otra, así son los procesos creativos ;).

My creative process for this book has been a Little different, since first thing I have done was to write the text. In most of the books I got, they had already the text, and from it, I started thinking on each illustration. But in this case, it got a little chaotic, since at the same time, while I was thinking on the text, I got ideas on the illustrations. I was seeing it all together as a story on my head. So I did scribble things, wrote down some phrases... as a matter of fact, for this book I didn't have a storyboard, as I used to, in order to keep an order.

I uploaded some pictures of original illustrations. For the final edition, some of them have been discarded or changed by others, that's how are the creative processes.
